Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI Selected for $1.3 Million Award from DOE Sticky

Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced today that the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI has been selected to receive a $1.3 million Department of Energy award to train undergraduate- and graduate-level engineering students in manufacturing efficiency to help them become the nation's next generation of industrial energy efficiency experts. The award will help the university provide practical training on core energy management concepts through the DOE’s Industrial Assessment Center Program. IUPUI is the only university in Indiana selected to receive this award.

US Department of Energy Funds IUPUI Study to Improve Battery Energy, Life, Range

The United States Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE) Vehicle Technologies Program, through Argonne National Laboratory, recently awarded researchers at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI more than $100,000 to conduct a rechargeable lithium metal battery study that could lead to revolutionary changes in the battery and electric vehicle industries.

Indy Power Systems is selected as a Finalist for the Start-up America Super Bowl video contest. The contest, with support from Indianapolis' Develop Indy and Verge, was to develop a 1 minute video to show why Indianapolis is a great place for start-ups and why going to the Super Bowl would be good for Indy Power Systems. The winner gets a ticket to the Super Bowl XLVI and national exposure for the company.
